BBC Celebrity Traitors release date, full cast list and filming location

The Celebrity Traitors is coming for the first time ever later this year with Claudia Winkleman set to welcome nineteen famous faces to the iconic castle - here's everything you need to know.

The Celebrity Traitors line up has officially been confirmed by the BBC and the first ever celebrity edition of the hit Claudia Winkleman show is looking to kick off with a bang. A whole range of famous faces have been announced as the cast for the charity spin-off including chat show host Jonathan Ross, singer Charlotte Church, Chatty Man's Alan Carr, Olympian Tom Daley and ITV presenter Kate Garraway.

A total of 19 celebrities have been confirmed for the show, who will all gather at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands for the “ultimate game of deceit and betrayal” which will air on screens later this year. Hosted by iconic Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia, the nine-part show will give contestants the opportunity to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

The nail-biting game show follows contestants as they attempt to detect the traitors among the group while completing a series of challenges to win cash towards the prize pot. The usual rules are ifnby the end of the programme, a traitor is among the finalists, the faithfuls lose out on the money and the traitor takes the full cash prize home but there may be some twists along the way.

The full Celebrity Traitors cast were confirmed on May 13 with host Claudia Winkleman expressing her delight at the line up.

She said: "We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie."

The Celebrity Traitors will be filmed in the same place as the previous seasons of the show - at the stunning Ardross Castle.

The 19th-century castle located in the Scottish Highlands, is about 30 miles north of Inverness.

It is set in about 100 acres of gardens and parkland near the Easter Ross town of Alness.

The property, which was built over 170 years ago, is owned by the McTaggart family and is available to use a wedding venue.

Despite the show not airing until later in the year, filming is believed to have commenced at the end of April.

Some of the stars were spotted touching down at Inverness Airport in Scotland in the media.

While an official release date has not been announced, The Celebrity Traitors will air on BBC One and iPlayer in autumn 2025.

Season 4 of The Traitors will also air in early 2026 with the most recent season, which saw Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown take home the cash prize, airing in January of this year.
