Chloe Burrows calls out glaring issue with Love Island ahead of new documentary
The former Islander spoke candidly about her own time in the famous villa
Love Island is now celebrating its tenth year on TV screens with the new season just days away. Now, one of its former stars has called out a major flaw with the reality dating show.
Chloe Burrows who entered as a bombshell in the seventh season back in 2021, is about to front a brand new documentary for Channel 4 about the dating habits of the UK's young people.
Love In The Wild: The Real Dating Experiment is available to stream from tomorrow (June 4) and will see the 29-year-old reality star throw herself into a range of different ways to meet people, ranging from a bouldering meet-up to group tantra, as well as learning about dating apps and how they really work.
While the star is now in a relationship herself and remaining tight-lipped on the details, she confirmed she met her beau the old fashioned way, and revealed her big issue with trying to find love in the world of TV.

Speaking to OK!'s Screen Time team, Chloe confessed: "He's not exactly revealed in the documentary but yes, I have met someone through meeting them in real-life. As far as anything else, I'm going to keep it quite private.
"I'm not having a public relationship again. It's not a secret, but I want to keep as much to myself as I can."
Reflecting on her time on Love Island versus what she learned fronting her fresh documentary, Chloe identified a major flaw with the TV dating set-up seen on the ITV show.

"I didn't think I'd meet anyone on any of the dating shows I was on. I was just there for fun, it's an amazing opportunity and I wanted to be on TV," she began. "But when you go and do these dates in real-life, one of the most fascinating things I found was everyone was so open about their intentions quite quickly."
She continued: "On a dating show, I don't know if you give 100 per cent your true self within the first date because there's cameras, you're nervous... but when you're speed dating everyone is just themselves."
Among one of the discoveries Chloe makes on her documentary dating journey is the fact that around 80 per cent of under 35's are no longer interested in using dating apps, as well as the shocking proportion of men compared to women who would use AI to help them write their dating profiles.
"These dating apps, you can so easily catfish someone. With AI as well these days how much can you trust what’s on the other side of the screen?" Chloe warned.
